Final Design
This project introduced me to the importance of empathy. It played a lot with my creative boundaries. I was also able to understand the importance of group work and the power of communication. I learned new ways to do user research and educated myself about user experience’s emotional side.
For my next steps I would like to check the functionality of this product, by conducting user research. The user research feedback would help me understand the needs and wants of my users. This will help me to improve the products interface. Digital Product Design was an amazing class at Pratt Institute have opened many new doors for me and opportunites.

Neveah
The purpose of this project was to design a product that conveys an emotion. to help people who are in a particular type of relationship toward a specific need or goal. the project was aimed towards creating an interface that supports the product. As a group, through research we concluded that humans experience the emotions of grief, confusion, and sadness. Along with the dificulties of working through a break up/ghosting. Espesically right now, with most communication occuring online. Neveah is a product and an interface that helps users to record their geuine emotions from heartbreaks/loss.
Due to the pandemic people are more vulnerable and are willing to share more about themselves due to the lack of social interactions. If you’re single it felt like you were probably put to a test in the pandemic. People are sharing more intimate details of themselves and are willing to put themselves out there in hopes of finding a relationship.
First we sent out a survey to users to understand the emotions that are felt when a person decides not to speak to you after you've been vulnerable with them.
Insights from the survey
75% of people consider themselves a reserved person and 25% view themselves as an open person while communicating with their potientals.
66% of people felt that its neccessary to share your emotions with the person that ghosted you. 33% felt that you shouldn’t share those emotions, however they still felt the emotions of anger, saddness and annoyance.
“Extremely worthless and pathetic - depends on how much I invested in the person / liked them but at the lowest point those were the thoughts I had about myself. I thought why did I even bother to open up to this person, they never cared, etc.”

What we learned -
People can only be in control of their own emotions and the lack of not being able to control brings out negative emotions within themselves. Vulnerability has ties to possessive behaviors.
The user research consisted of questions that were geared to understanding the emotions of people who’ve been ghosted. What do they feel, how do they overcome this challenge. The other part of user research focused on the needs of the users, along with requirements. This part focused mainly on users expressing their emotions, and users being aware of their well being. This user research helped us gain information about users and their needs.
After conducting user research, a lot of opportunities presented itself through brainstorming. These opportunities focused on the emotional well being of the user and promoting healthy relationships through conversation. All of the opportunnities we saw, we grouped and worked on a product that can solve the problems.
Through research, my group and I learned that healing is important along with communicating, when going through a loss. It inspiried my group an I to help people have healthier relationships with themselves along with future relationships. Before designing we took a look at some already curated devices and applications. It was important to create a mood board that would help guide us in our design process. These inspirations and references were very helpful for us to understand the market and the potential of our product.

Inspiration and Reference
This is more than a mirror. It’s the ultimate home gym. With the most workout variety. That actually looks good in your home.
Replika was founded by Eugenia Kuyda with the idea to create a personal AI that would help you express and witness yourself by offering a helpful conversation. It’s a space where you can safely share your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, experiences, memories, dreams – your “private perceptual world.”
